We've mentioned these things in class, but perhaps not emphatically enough. Let's have a little Q&A:
Q: How long should our war poem presentation be?
A: That is a super awesome excellent question! About 7-8 minutes. I will set a timer to ring at eight minutes. I will cut you off at ten minutes.
Q: So, what do I need to turn in for the war poem essay, again?
A: Your essay itself, your (signed) cover sheet, and your copies of rough drafts edited by friends. Put the cover sheet on top, and the final draft right after that. Yes, you will have points taken off if you fail to turn in these things. Don't forget your turnitin.com number, either.
Q: Am I supposed to be an expert on the open essay for the AP? I mean, we did look at it in class for part of a day.
A: Nope. All those hand-outs will come back in the very near future, and we'll look over them in more detail.
Q: Something about an assignment for the open essay...? And some books...?
A: Yeah, don't forget about the Open Essay Book Chart. You don't have a hard copy because that would be a waste of paper. Download it from the website, fill it out, print it, turn it in on April 10.
Peace,
Mrs. Swan
